From the album back cover :

"Some mountains are sacred. Perhaps all mountains are sacred. The music in this album is inspired by mountains and their need to be preserved; it is also a mountain experience. Side one reveals the beauty and the feelings that happen on the mountain. Side two is a collection of thoughts about people and the mountain, but it also says that we must think about deserts, mesas and seashores too.
