David Callinan has said that he was shocked by the relative success of the album seeing as how it had little impact on release. “I was quite amazed when I found out that an album I made in 1972 has become a surprise underground rare hit and been sought after by fans and collectors all over the world. They are calling it folk-psych (whatever that is). A new wave Irish chanteur, Sean Tyrrell has also recorded some songs I wrote many years ago. Could be the start of a revival.”

A solid cast of familiar Nashville sessioneers are of course present here and the listener is treated to a very nice set that sits astride the more traditional approach of those folkies who rolled with the 'sound'. This is another obscure folk LP from mr Ron Chrislock who invented a place called Eckanar : The Ancient Science Of  Soul Travel !!! Singer/songwriter folky sounds mostly in an Arlo Guthrie/Dylan vein, but with cosmic Eckankar-inspired lyrics. Eckankar is a religious movement founded by Paul Twitchell in 1965. The spiritual home is the Temple of ECK in Chanhassen, Minnesota. Eckankar is not affiliated with any other religious group. The movement teaches simple spiritual exercises, such as singing "HU", called "a love song to God", to experience the Light and Sound of God and recognize the presence of the Holy Spirit ..... Some scholars believe that Eckankar beliefs draw in part from the Sikh and Hindu religions, in particular the Radha Soami movement. However, J. Gordon Melton finds significant differences between Radha Soami teachings and Eckankar.
